A new book by William Patrick Patterson addresses the first critical assessment of Franklin Jones, the first American-born Guru. The book takes Jones through his meteoric rise that brought him thousands of seekers until the sex scandals brought  a public shaming and his withdrawal to a Fijian Island hermitage where he, Adi Da Samraj, annouced he was God incarnate.

Occupy what?

Yes, we bailed out the banks and investment houses, but whith whose money? Doesn't the FDIC protect the depositor, so what if the bank goes under? Does anyone know who owns what anymore? What is a degree from any college worth now if I can't find a job? The movement is leaderless and without direction, so far that is. My parents had their dreams, what about my dreams? Hey wait a minute, the homeless are moving in, uh... Things are moving very, very fast and...
These are other questions about being asked around the world right now. But how to understand this, all in the moment, how to take this in and make sense of it. I'm usually thinking about my future and my past. How can I be present in the moment and not be living through my past or fearing the future?
